Use of cookies

In order to make the visit to our website attractive and to allow the use of certain functions, to display suitable products or for market research, we use so-called cookies on various pages. In balancing the various interests, this serves to safeguard our legitimate interests in an optimised presentation of our offer. Cookies are small text files that are automatically stored on your terminal. Some of the cookies that we use are deleted at the end of the browser session, i.e. when you close your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your terminal and allow us to recognise your browser on your next visit (persistent cookies). The storage duration can be found in the overview in the cookie settings of your web browser. You can configure your browser so that you are informed about cookie settings and can decide on a case-by-case basis whether to accept them or to reject cookies in specific cases or in general. Using DoubleClick

Within the framework of the use of Google Analytics (see below), this website also uses the so-called DoubleClick cookie, which allows your browser to be recognised when visiting other websites. The information automatically generated by the cookie about the visit to this website is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The IP address will be truncated by activating IP anonymisation on this website prior to transmission within the Member States of the European Union or in other Contracting States to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the US and shortened there. The anonymised IP address delivered by Google Analytics will not be combined with other data by Google.

Google will use this information to compile reports on website activity and to provide other website-related services. In balancing the various interests, this serves to safeguard our legitimate interests in an optimised marketing of our website. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google.

Google Double Click is an offer from Google LLC (www.google.co.uk). Google LLC is headquartered in the USA. A European Commission adequacy decision exists for this country. This arises from the EU US Privacy Shield, under which Google LLC is certified. A current certificate can be viewed here: https://www.privacyshield.gov/list

You can disable the DoubleClick cookie via this link. In addition, you can check with the Digital Advertising Alliance about configuring cookies and choose your settings. Ultimately, you can configure your browser so that you are informed about cookie settings and can decide on a case-by-case basis whether to accept them, or to reject cookies in specific cases or in general. Failure to accept cookies may limit the functionality of our website.

We use Google Adwords to promote this website in Google search results and on third-party websites. For this purpose, when you visit our website, the so-called remarketing cookie is set by Google, which automatically enables interest-based advertising by means of a pseudonymous cookie ID and based on the pages you visit. Additional processing will only take place if you agree to Google linking your web and app browser history with your Google Account and using information from your Google Account to personalize ads you see on the web. If you are logged in to Google during your visit to our website, Google will use your information together with Google Analytics data to create and define target group lists for cross-device remarketing. USING FACEBOOK PIXEL AND FACEBOOK CUSTOM AUDIENCES

We use the Facebook Pixel on our website, which is triggered when you engage with one of our ads on Facebook. When you click on a Facebook ad and are redirected to our website, the Facebook Pixel tracks your behaviour on our website and if you take an action (for example, if you buy something), the Facebook Pixel will report it to us. This allows us to measure the effectiveness of our Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes and helps us target our ads.

Using the Facebook Pixel, the ads you see are personalised (such as products you've shown interest in on our website) whilst you are using Facebook, through Facebook's Custom Audiences tool. When you browse our website, information about your browsing session, along with a hashed version of your Facebook ID and the URL viewed, is sent to Facebook. When you then use Facebook, you will be shown personalised ads based on your shopping experience whilst using our website.

You can find out more about how Facebook processes your personal data in its Data Policy here.

You can opt-out of the collection of your personal data by Facebook Pixel, or to the use of your personal data for the purpose of displaying Facebook ads using Custom Audiences using this link or this link.

The Facebook Pixel and Custom Audiences are an offer from Facebook Inc., which is headquartered in the USA. Facebook Inc. has been certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield that has been approved by the European Commission. A current certificate can be viewed here.
