THE KOBOLD Magazine

Vacuuming can lead to back problems – but not if you do it properly!

Everybody can prevent back problems – our guide tells you how.
Health
Back problems are very common: 80% of Germans consult their doctor due to pain in their spine. We’ve all been told to ‘stand up straight’ and ‘stop slouching’ to aid our posture, and frequent visits from the health and safety officer at work mean that our desks are likely to be ergonomically organised to avoid a bad back.
But have you ever thought about the way in which cleaning your house can set off those aches and pains?

Back problems, such as lumbago and neck tension have become significant health problems over recent years, and when we conducted a survey back in our home country, we found that 80% of Germans have consulted a doctor due to back pain, with 40 percent requiring regular medical help.

There is good news though: surprisingly, house work helps to keep you mobile and avoid problems arising!

We’ve designed the Kobold VK200 to feature a height-adjustable telescopic handle that makes a straight posture possible, and avoids the need to bend down regularly. Our SP530 Duo Clean head also means that you can say goodbye to your mop and bucket, and avoid ever having to get down on your hands and knees to wash your hard floor. A world first, the SP530 actually mops and vacuums at the same time and is all you need to get back your sparkly clean floors without really moving a muscle.

When it comes to removing stains from your carpet, our VF200 carpet freshner will spread Kobosan over your carpet while you remain stood up, avoiding the need to bend down and damage your back.

You can then simply attach the EB400 Automatic Electric Brush and voila: your carpet’s former glory is returned and your back is intact!
