Knowledge
Hands up who has stains on their carpet?  With rugs or furniture strategically placed to cover them up?  Was it a red wine accident?  A pet accident?  Or maybe just an accident that you’ve inherited from previous owners.

Whether it’s a wine, felt tip, or a food stain, you can finally wake up from your nightmare of stained carpets thanks to these helpful tips that will remove the stains for good.

1. Don’t scrub it!

Never scrub the carpet when you are trying to remove a stain, this could ruin the carpet fibres or cause the spill to soak further into the carpet.

2. Home made treatment

For stains such as; alcohol, gravy, milk and food dyes, all you need is a simple solution made up of ¼ teaspoon of non-bleach detergent, white vinegar or even mild washing up liquid mixed with some warm water. Spray this onto a cloth and dab the spot, repeat this and as the stain dissolves blot with a clean section of the cloth. Then, spray another cloth just with water to rinse any detergent left on the carpet and then blot again to dry.

3. Baking soda magic

We all have that annoying mark on the carpet that we have just got used to seeing. But with the thanks to baking soda you can soon get rid of the stain. Pour baking soda all over the area and then spray it with some water and vinegar mixed together (50/50 mix) and then leave for a couple of hours to settle. Once this is complete scrub the vinegar-baking soda paste loose and vacuum any waste until you find yourself a clean carpet.
