Places you are forgetting to vacuum

Vacuum cleaners are not just for cleaning your floor. Check out these top five places you need to focus on.
Knowledge
Carpets, sofas and rugs are all key places you’re guaranteed to cover with your regular house clean, but there are several important areas which you are probably missing whilst vacuuming.

Dust can collect pretty much anywhere in your home – not just on your carpets! Make sure you add these five places to your next vacuuming routine so you get those hard-to-reach areas around the home.

1. Blinds and curtains

It’s important to regularly clean your blinds and curtains, otherwise air flow from the window will blow dust from the area around the rest of your room. When cleaning your curtains, always work from the top to the bottom and use an attachment such as our VK200 Upright Vacuum Cleaner’s TR15 Telescopic Tube. This makes it super easy to clean curtain rails, making it effortless to remove cobwebs and dust.

2. Computer keyboards

We tend to spend a lot of time typing on our computer keyboard, therefore it’s important to keep it as clean as possible. A quick and easy way of giving your keyboard a clean is by using our VK200’s SD15 Soft Nozzle attachment. The vacuum nozzle will agitate dust with its soft bristles and suck the dust straight into the machine.

3. Drawers

Make sure you give your drawers a regular vacuum to remove any crumbs or debris. A particular focus should be made on your cutlery drawer as the last thing you want is for your knives and forks to appear dirty when you want to use them! Our VC100 Handheld Vacuum Cleaner is perfect for this. It is lightweight and small, making it easy to get into tight spaces.

4. Mattress

When is the last time you vacuumed your mattress? Our research has revealed that nearly a fifth of UK homes have never cleaned their mattress at all (17%)! Reduce the risk of dust mites and remove pet hair with our MP440 & MR440 Dry Cleaning Mattress Cleaning Set. The MP440 intensively deep-cleans and binds dirt by working Lavenia Mattress Cleaning Powder into the mattress and leaves a fresh smell. Then use the MR440 to loosen the dirt from the mattress surface.

5. Under large appliances

Reaching to clean under a large home appliance may sound like a chore, but it’s important to keep up so that you clean around appliances to avoid a large build-up of dust. Using a long, narrow vacuum attachment such as the VK200’s CRV15 Crevice Nozzle Set will make cleaning these areas much easier as the flexible joint and flexible extension allows you get to those hard-to-reach places.
